It's interesting to see more photos of Anastasia from 1916. I have a hard time fixing an image in my head of what she would have looked like as a adult because there are so few photos of her with her hair up compared to her sisters. In 1916, though, she's clearly growing up but not there yet.

That and she seemed to go through so many physical changes in her short seventeen years of existence (no more then about 16 of which do we have much of a photographic record of) that it's harder to predict how, say, the 27-year old Anastasia would have looked than with her sisters.

So many of these photos beg for colorization, but if any of you ladies want to give us all a nice early-Christmas present, please put your skills to work on those O&M and T&A photos hanging out by the Dnieper!

I'm simply speechless...it's like one's inner vision of them exploded to the outside...also like the Prince Michale's  photo book suddenly  gained many more pages...but how did he miss these two close ups of OTMA in the boat? The one of Olga that is in the book had to be moments before or after .

My mind has been blown! Just when you think you have seen most of what's out there you get humbled by the remaining pieces that had been hidden in the archives or private collections.

Did anyone else notice Tatiana's arms are completely backwards in the bloshki photo? It freaked me out a little!

LOL, don't freak out Lisa! ^^ Many people do it, and I found it very cute that she also did it : ))

Totally agree with the name given by Laura Mabee to TatianaZ: Grand Duchess of Generosity <3
It will also be right to call her the Woman Santa Claus - the graceful one <3
Although many have already thanked her, I would add my most heartfelt thanks which God can only count ; )
