I love this room, it is in a book about the furniture of Tsarskoe Selo and the Romanovs. great book!  It was under the section of Nicholas I.  I don't understand Russian.  What room is this and where was it if anyone knows? Thanks.

Any more photos with Russian text? Then it could be easier to identify the room.

The text says about some furniture pieces for daughters of Emperor Nicholas I, nothing more pointing out what's the room...

Thanks Svetabel for translating! It's a beautiful room, I love the furniture in it and the empire style ceiling.  I am wondering if the room could be in the Zubov wing or close to it.

Can you get a clear photo of the actual text, not for the photo of the piece of furniture, but from below that, the 2 colums of print.

The room identification is also likely to be on the previous page!  Russian books often do that. The key for me that the room is not in the text, is that the piece of furniture being described is not IN the photograph of the room in question...

There seems to be a piece of furniture  one would kneel at to pray...could that be in any room in a Russian home or a particular room?
