Who is the "Pop-Eyed One?"

Reading excerpts from Nicholas' Ekaterinburg diary, and he keeps referencing a pop eyed guard that he finds particularly unpleasant. Does anyone know who he is referring to?

If you can give me some dates for the entries, I'll check in my Russian edition of the tsar's diary. It's amply footnoted and may have more info.

26 April/ 9 May - "My enemy the pop eyed one - on duty instead of Ukraintsev - came out walking with us."

27 April/10 May - "After tea, the pop eyed one came again and asked each of us how much money we had."

As far as I can tell that is the only two times he is mentioned. The second one is leading me to believe it's Avdeyev.

It looks like he's identified as Boris Vladimirovich Didkovsky. (This is the book I'm referring to.)
