How I met the imperial family that changed my life.
« on: October 09, 2013, 05:25:59 AM »
So, the one and only reason I came to this site is to share a story, one that might spark your interest, a true one at that. And after I'm done telling it, whether you refuse to believe me or not, which I hope you will, is totaly up to you, for this story did not happen in my physical life but in....elsewhere.
OK, so the story begins with me returning home late at night sometime about late july this summer.Next day my father in law was going to return home from Finland(work and all that), so me and my family were expecting him.It was about 2 A.M, so I went to sleep. And this was the place where the main story was happening, in my dreams.
So, the dream begins in a small village, 21 miles from Velika Goprica called Pokupsko, where my grandma, grandpa, and great-grandma live.I woke up in my grandpa's bed, and went to the living room where I saw the rest of my family, my mother, father in law, brother, cousins etc....I  asked them if they want to go with me to a river which was about a kilometer from our building, called Kupa. They said, that they don't wanna go cause the river was too high at that time and that it was very dirty.I still stubbornly went there on my own. When I  came there, it was just like they said, the river was a mess and after about 5 minutes I started leaving and slowly walking back home.As I was walking I constantly felt like there was something following me, which turned out to be so, after I turned around to see whats behind me, there about 5 meters from me, stood a very tall black man with no head. You could call it a monster. At first, somehow I wasn't scared. But as I kept speeding up my walk to get away from him, he still walked the same speeds, and it looked like I could get away very easily, but without any effort, the monster kept chasing after me until it started sprinting towards me.I started sprinting as well, and ran into a big, thick fog that actually saved me from that horror. On the other side of the fog, I somehow got to Velika Gorica, as if sprinting through a portal, I just appeared there, in front of my home building. At that moment I was very confused, but still somehow knew that my family was still in Pokupsko.I sighed to myself, "Atleast I'l have some time alone", I said.I entered my apartment, and didn't know what to do, I was actually bored, until soon I realized, that I was aware that I'm dreaming.I went out in panic, still dreaming, and saw four at that time unknown figures to me, which I later found out were no doubt Alexei, Anastasia, Tatiana, and Maria, standing next to my father in law's car(Il tell you how I actually found that out later), waving to me and smiling.I shyly and slowly started to walk towards the unknown figures, until Alexei encouraged me to come with them and shook my hand.I remember asking them all, How did you manage to get my father in law's key(for the car)?Alexei replied: It's a long story, come with us.At that moment, I didn't know what I was doing, I didn't yet know these people, how did they even understand my language, or how did I understand theirs, but it didn't really matter.I got into the car, Alexei was sitting right from me and Anastasia on my left, Tatiana drove the car and Maria was sitting next to her.As we drove, they were all eager to know more about me.I remember how we talked about ourselves, the things we liked, and talked about certain family members we had and joked about them.I met them half an hour ago and I was already friends with them!I reminded myself.I asked Tatiana where are we heading. She turned around and replied: You will see, it's a suprise. And smiled. We drove about an hour to that place, until we finally came. The place in my opinion, was like a whole other dimension, it was just beautiful. But somehow, I knew I was here in my other dreams during life.It was very familiar to me.We got out of the car and started walking the small path in the middle of  a beautiful forest, it looked as it came straight out of a fairy tale. And the most wierd feeling was, that this place, was more real than the world we actually live in.The oxigen was far more healthier to breathe, and the grass was even greener than in our world. The place was surrounded with high mountains, rainbows, and watery falls, the place was simply full of life.As we walked down that path, we were playing hide and seek, mostly me, Anastasia and Alexei. While Maria laughed at us, Tatiana kept silent and constantly smiling. Then we finally came there, the place where they were taking me.It was a big big big, nevertheless, a very big house, a palace if you ask me.It was gigantic.I remember Maria telling me, don't be shy, go right on in.I still wasn't completely sure, there were just too many people. They were all dressed so elegantly, while I wasn't, they were holding glasses of vine and having fun, it made me kinda nervous to go in.Until Alexei firmly pulled me in with him, and suddenly I didn't have my normal clothes anymore. They simply changed while I wasn't looking, and I appeared to wear a nice black suit. Then he started to show me this place, introduced me to quite a lot people and showed me lots of musical instruments, for he knew I love music.I got the chance to play piano, which I didn't really know how to, while I really always wanted to learn it.I also saw my best friend Filip in there, trying to seduce  some women.I laughed at him hard for a moment, until Alexei pulled my hand and we went outside again. When we got outside, we stood. And in the opposite direction from the palace was a small house. There, about 20 meters from me I saw Tatiana, Tsar Nicolas II, Anastasia, and Olga come out of it.As Alexei and I watched them, he said:Thats my dad, come.He and Maria, ran over to him, Alexei jumped on him, holding him tightly, and Maria hugged him aswell.I stood there, full of shyness again, and didn't know how to approach him, with what gesture. And Alexei shouted:come, come over here! And as I slowly walked towards them, I could see four sisters whispering something and looking at me which made me even more shy, until I finally got to shake hands with the Tsar and introduce myself to him as a man.I remember two of us talking about something while Alexei teased his sisters, who were laying on grass still whispering to each other. At some point I remember Nicolas laughing and saying:come on!Man up!, and tapping me on a shoulder. After that, me and Alexei, went to chop the wood, for fun, until I hit myself with an edge of the axe on my knee.Thankfully, it was just a bruise, but a big one, almost to the point where it could bleed.Alexei and his sisters panicked at the moment, then Alexei said: I know how that feels, let me take a look at it.And then suddenly, I fainted, later woke up in room that looked pretty old fashioned to me,as if from the 15th century, with my leg wrapped, and in a bit of pain. And this is where my dream became weaker, and I couldn't really take control of my actions.I remember when jumping from the window of that room, in a blinding light, and appearing on an endless grass field. The Tsar was next to me, standing and looking at another four unknown figures to me, it appeared that two of them were male and two females, holding buckets of flowers in their hands, as we stood in the middle of 2 large soldier battalions. My vision became blurry and that morning my mom woke me up with the sound of washing machine.

And then 3 weeks after that, I watched a documentary of an imperial family, their family name was Romanov, I watched it till the end, for it was so familiar to me.After about an hour I remembered that those were the people I met in my dream.I was shocked, and frustrated at the same time, cause I never really experienced such happiness in my life, I wrote it in my diary, so I could never forget it, not in a thousand lives.

This is a continuation of my topic for characters did no longer fit into the text box, sorry about that.

Interesting. Part of this sounds more like a story than a dream to me, but if it went down how you say than I'm happy for you. I too on the occasion have startlingly vivid dreams of the IF. They aren't always the main characters but often make cameos. Of course they are a subject I've immersed myself in unlike you from what you're telling us.

Question for you. How did they look to you in the dream? Had you seen pictures of the imperial family before? How did your dream match up with the images of them you saw in the documentary you watched afterwards?

Well, all of them, looked only a bit older than me, like they are in their early 20s to late 20s, Nicolas was wearing a pure white t - shirt, and some old type of, I don't really know how to describe it, like some old type of jeans.Alexei has worn some kind of old type of soldier suit, and that warm black coaty hat, sisters were all dressed almost the same, long white skirts, and some sort of coat like dark blue jackets.

No I haven't saw or heard about them, since I actually watched that documentary then it got into my head that I was really with them, I usually don't remember my dreams too well but this dream was different and more conscious than any I ever had, it still amazes me.
About the match up between the dream and the documentary, I'd say perfect, I can remember it clearly still, thanks to my diary. The only thing that was different were their age, Nicolas looked like he was in his late 20s and his children looked only a bit younger except Alexei, who looked like he was the same age as me.

So in the dream you're saying you knew their names? Like did they greet you with a "hello I'm Tatiana", etc?

If not, what prompted you to watch the documentary on the Romanovs? If you had no clue who they were that is...

Well, no.I didn't know their names, not at first. The documentary showed up about weeks later, but I don't think I will ever be able to explain what made watch it.I only remember the feeling that probably made me do it, that was familiarity that made me go curious.
I called them friends because they were simply so good to me during my experience.I never called their names as they didn't call mine, but I somehow managed to be friendly with them in this good but peculiar way.The language we spoke, is still the biggest mystery to me.I remember some conversations, but not the language, we spoke, but as if I can't really spell what they said, but I could understand what they were saying.I know it sounds wierd.

Well it sounds like a terrific experience you had. I might now encourage you to hang around on here. If this "connection" was as profound as you suggest it is I think you owe it to yourself to learn more about the imperial family. About 99% of your questions can be answered simply by digging around on the AP, and that's not even to mention the hundreds of wonderful photographs, videos and pieces of artwork created by members on here.

Best of luck in your Romanov journey!
