Thank you very much for posting them. That's so interesting.
Do you know who wrote the Ekaterinbourg letter, I'm not sure, but I can read "Ольга моя дорогая" ( something like "Olga, my darling"), was it Maria who wrote the letter to her sister ? I know just a bit of Russian so, I can't read the rest right now, but I do hope that one day, I will be able to.

Simply fantastic! Thanks for posting Woody!

I'm dying to see translations of a few (or all) of the letters.

Amazing! Thank you for the photos Woody!
I appreciate the share. I wonder what exhibit these pieces are currently in. There is a huge exhibit happening in Moscow right now, I wonder if it's that one?
It's so fascinating to see the primary documents "face to face" so to say.

Much obliged!

Thank you for sharing these! It's one thing to read about such documents in books, another to see them yourself.

 :)

This year the 400th anniversary , there was a few exhibitions , I wish I was able to attend and see myself firsthand , but only have received photoshots. It seems everything is on display nowadays except Sokolovs original handwriting notes and the interviews he conducted with witnesses.... ( I don't know where they are ? ) . There are some other documents still in GARF and other archives which have never been allowed public viewing - I think maybe some maybe still embarassing to Russian govt even today ??? I personally think there are/were docs that prove the original command came from Lenin &/or Sverdlov which are either still locked away or destroyed....

I'd like to see the identity cards of the family which were issued when they were at Tobolsk ( location unknown ) and any photos taken at Ipatiev ( rumoured to exist but never appeared - perhaps still in GARF and not released ?? )

Regards
