Yes...Although Mossy stood by Moretta. She approved the marriage amid a chorus of disaproval (even Sophie was upset by it). She also was there to send Moretta off on her last trip at her furneral. Mossy more than did her sister thing.

I have some photos of when her engagement was announced but can't post them right now. I can describe them though--she was swathed in mourning (for her brother Alexander) and wore a slight (but not forced) smile. Carol looked rather smug. Some have Tino & Sophie in them (as well as Irene, Paul and George) and no one really looked thrilled. In many of the photos Carol & Helen weren't even side by side or, if they were, there was a good deal of space. Perhaps it all means nothing or perhaps the body language said it all. Certainly being covered in mourning from head to foot was an appropriate omen.

On this portrait dating probably from 1940, when she returned to Romania, Helen wears a brooch in the shape of a fleur-de-lis that he sees as often on other photos or portraits of this era, and it should be interesting to know which she inherited.

Or was it simply a gift or personal acquisition ?

KarlandZita, the  photograph  was taken in the 30s in Athens.

I don't know if the album is available online ,i got my copy from a bookshop in Bucharest.
It should be available though.
