This publication is prepared by senior researcher, curator of the collection images Plaude Victoria - the first in this series. We are very glad that we managed to include a colored avtohromy with views of Catherine and Alexander Palaces, which the museum acquired last year at an auction in Paris - said the deputy director for scientific work GMZ "Tsarskoye Selo" Iraida Bott.

Our copy, a gift from the entire Research Staff at the TS Museum with a lovely note inside, literally just arrived by Fedex ten minutes ago.  A lovely book on first leaf thru.  Wish my Russian were better....

Add me to the list of desired purchaser! How many copies of this were created? I have a friend going to St. P in the summer, but I fear that will be too late .

Edit -- Read the article - 75 copies were created!! What!! That's hardly enough to go around!

Wow. Less than that around since Mike Pyles was also sent a gift copy as well as Bob. I'd think a lot more than 70 people want a copy!!

It's really poor that in 2014 the Palace can't get its act together to offer an online purchasing service.

Printing only 70 copies of an item that's clearly going to be in demand also shows their total lack of business sense or consideration for their stakeholders - the public.

Why would one donate money to them when they're clearly not interested in earning it?
