The second link, "The Mezzanines". I believe the study had a mezzanine along the side and the Maple Room had a mezzanine along the back wall. But the plan posted has it the other way around
Yes, you're right. I can't read Russian, but I assume that the largest print on the picture is a watermark. What does it say up on top? Is that where it's labeled wrong?
Sorry, but the plan posted is correct.  Keep in mind the Maple Room was on the Left Side of the Corridor, and the New Study was on the right (as shown in the plan.)  The balcony of the New Study was over the main corridor of the left wing of the palace.  Look at the photos of the rooms and you'll see the Maple room balcony is perpendicular to the windows in the left, and the New Study balcony faced the windows on the right.  Just don't want others to be confused.

Bob, you're right. I don't know what I was seeing the other day, it just looked off to me. But when I go back and look at it again I see it correctly. Weird....

I have wonder for some quite sometime about the height of the Maple Drawing room from the floor to the ceiling and has been trying to figure out, but has neither found any information on the actually height of the room and I hoped that someone here can help me with the answer to it? I am curious to find out, since I have been thinking about for a long time and not come to any conclusion that seem logic to the estimation of heights of the room.

Here is some pictures to show some views on the maple drawing room that might be able to help;

Thanks in advance

Long ago I read somewhere (probably here in these forums) that the height of the first floor rooms is 30 feet.  It's a figure that has been cemented in my mind since, and a height that would allow for a mezzanine in the Maple Room, as well as a mezzanine in the room next door to N&A's bedroom (the room which contained Alexandra's bath and dressing rooms).
