Even in family systems, all of us are different from each other.
Indeed, God made diverse cultures.

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!

Well, I'm not sure, but Nicholas' first cousins are supposed to be called Olga's uncles, right? :-\ Or is there another word? Or people just say: Boris and Dimitri are first cousins of Olga's father? :-\ :-\

Sure, in many cultures they are "called" uncles.  Genetically and genealogically they are "first cousins, once removed" to Olga.  If Boris had had children they would be Olga's 2nd cousins.  The term "once removed" indicates they are of a different generation of descent from their common ancestor, Alexander II.

It's like this:
                       brothers        1st cous.    2nd cousins
Alexander II> Alexander III> Nicholas II> Olga
Alexander II>        Vladmir>        Boris>   any children

Nicholas's first cousins would be Olga's second cousins, at least where I'm from.

Lots of people think this, but they are wrong, as others have pointed out.  The children of first cousins are second cousins to each other.  Your first cousin's children are your first cousins, once removed (your cousin's grandchildren are first cousins twice removed.)  See the chart here (there might be better ones out there).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cousin

Some cultures do consider their cousin's children as "nephews and nieces", especially if there is an age difference, so the uncle/aunt title is used, but of course your cousin's children are actually more distantly related to you by a generation than your cousins are.  So it is a cultural term rather than a precise one.

During May 1916 visit at Sevastopol (South Russia then), leader of Serbian government said that it would be very nice if Olga once become Serbian Queen, that people would be accept her gladly, if he marry to Prince Regent Alexander (N. Pashic told to NII). Rest of conversation is not known to me, anyway, I'll check it.

That would be good. Still that doesn´t prove anything. There is not a word about King´s felings and such a statement surely possed through many heads at the time...

It is a blessing (although Olga would have been out of the country at the time of the revolution) that Olga didn't take Prince Carol.  Having read biographies of the Roumanian royal family and seeing Carol's thoroughly bad behavior to his mother and to his wives, I think Olga would have been miserable.

I also haven't read many pleasant things about Carol. It's a good thing Olga didn't accept him, nor did she like him. It would have been an unhappy marriage.

I can't imagine how awful it would've been for her to loose all her family in the revolution (assuming it still happened like that) and for support only to have an awful husband like Carol. Yes, she would've lived, but it probably wouldn't have been a very good life.

During war, Alexander's sister Helen invited her brother (she was married to GD Ioann Konstantinovich) to come in Russia, and by then, Olga worked as a nurse in hospitals, they met , and had some talks. About Alexander's feelings towards Olga Nicholaievna I don't know.

But  during this time,  wasn 't Olga in love with Dmitri Chakh-Baghov -  the wounded officer she cared for at the hospital ?

I read she was, and no one knows if that is reason she maybe refused. She flirted with Voronov earlier too. I posted one 1916 attempt for marrying.  ;-)
