I read this quote in a site of famous quotes of famous people, but I didn't remember the site's name. Was 3 or 4 years ago I read this quote.
Maybe it was written in her diary, I read that she wrote many quotes in her diary.
“The most difficult thing—but an essential one—is to love life,
to love it even while one suffers, because life is all.
life is God, and to love life means to love God.”

-- Leo Tolstoy

That sounds like it might have come from Alix's treatise on love and marriage. Even if the quote isn't here it's worth taking a look at.

Alix in a letter to Nicholas when he was trying to convince her to change her religion and marry him:

"I have tried to look at it in every light... but always return to one thing. I cannot do it against my conscience.
To do so would be a sin... and I should be miserable all the days of my life knowing that I had done a wrongful thing.
What happiness can come from a marriage which begins without the real blessing of God?"
