There is a book "They Fought For the Motherland" that deals with the Women's Battalions of the Russian army. If any book has any information on this unit this is the one. This unit had a very short history like most Women's Battalions and I don't think it saw any combat.

If you google search Russian Woman's Death battalions you can find a little information also Maria Bochlareva's memoirs are online.
