I really loved this movie about Prince John.  His story is one I had never heard of.  About the portrayal of N & A.  IMO I think it was probably right on point.  I absolutely love the Masterpiece Theatre historical dramas we get here on PBS on Sunday nights on tv.  They really inspire my web searching!

The portrayal of Prince John's life wasn't very accurate, however. Charlotte Zeepvatt wrote a great article on his life--and the misconceptions about it--for Royalty Digest. It's great to see him get some attention but, since many don't know about him, it's a shame that it wasn't portrayed more factually.

For Australian viewers:  The Lost Prince will be repeated on A.B.C. T.V. on Saturday, February 10, at 10.55 p.m.

I agree with Grandduchessella that the programme was not accurate, but for those who haven't seen it, or want another look, tune in... :)

If you are in to clothes, furniture and style in general-the movie was very accurate!

This is a most excellent story well told and well acted.  I hadn't known Prince John existed until viewing the movie.  Luckily, I taped the program and watch it over and over again.  I would hope PBS would air it again so a whole new audience could enjoy it as much as I did, and do.

I guess it was accurate, except Alexei walked iin with the family. I always heard Nicholas had to carry him. I can't think of anythink else. Oh, they said the IF was in a farm house.  ??? The Ipatiev House was in town, it wasn't a farm house.

I too watched it for that and I couldnt tell who was who out of OTMA. Anastasia didnt have a fringe (bangs)  I also found it annoying that OTMA were talkinig in Russian when the real OTMA spoke fluent English.

Although I found it interesting that it showed the different nature of Alexandra and Mary on how to look after their handicapped sons.   Alexandra was full on hands approach with Alexei while Mary seemed cold and left LaLa to deal with Prince John.

I too found it strange that they showed the Ipatiev house as a barn and were they not sitting on Bunk bed as my memory recalls.

I am just wondering out of OTMA who recieved the letter that Prince John had sent.  I found it interesting that Prince John to a shine to Nicky.  Even drawing pictures of him being the king of the sea.
