Two books from the publishing house of Oleg E. formed in 2003 are of the Court and Retinue of the Russian Emperors. There is a lengthy excerpt and two pdfs which are fascinating and include history / descriptions / numbers of the various ranks within the Court, first visit of Nicholas and Alexandra to Bielovez Aug 28-Sept 7, 1896, details of valets, waiters, confectioners (12th Rank), style of uniforms/dress through the reigns, court medical titles, description by Ignatiev of the last Court ball on January 26, 1904:
