Also, the site https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fbookz.ru%2Fauthors%2Figor_-zimin%2Fzimnii-d_007%2F1-zimnii-d_007.html&edit-text=&act=url has nine pages of a book that goes into incredible detail on the history of the private apartments all the way back to the ones prepared in the 1760s! There are some plans explaining the locations of the rooms too, and there's one plan that tells of the layout of the third floor of the northwest corner! Information is so detailed I can barely understand what rooms they are mentioning, so you know it's good stuff

Sorry, you guys! My photobucket account (or whatever it was) died a couple years ago, but I'm now again in possession of my book of rare blueprints etc; I might begin reposting some of the rarer ones. You can still find my sources for most of the older incarnations of the palace at the bottom of those posts though!

Ok! Screw whatever site I used to use, and I don't feel like embedding the images again, so here's an imgur gallery containing all the blueprints:

http://imgur.com/a/FVFlY

Keep in mind, some of those pictures are from before the 1837 fire, and some are from after. The captions provide dates and english descriptions, usually. Also, some are upside down, sorry!

Here's some highlights from the gallery:
the hexagonal telegraph tower
the neogothic library
rotunda cutaway
basement kitchen plans
opera house cutaway in southwest corner
some of Rastrelli's early variations for the floor plan

These are all from the 1990 book, ISBN 5-274-00375-3
It's all in russian, but if you can read russian I'd highly recommend getting a copy!
