It's such a shame, and pretty amazing, that Michael seems to have been forgotten. He's the son of a Tsar, the brother of a Tsar and the first Romanov victim of the Bolshevik terror yet somehow he rarely if ever gets mentioned in books that talk about the civil war and the end of the dynasty

They only mention Nicholas left him the throne and he refused it in barely a sentence.
Nicholas, Alexandra and the children come first, Ella and the Grand Dukes/Princes at Alapayevsk second, and third the Grand Dukes in the St Peter and Paul fortress. Michael's murder is nine times out of ten never mentioned.
I unfortunately don't see Michael's remains being found anytime soon. It would take someone with the dedication of a Philippa Langley for it to happen.
