I agree, it would make a great movie! So do you guys want me to write up the screenplay and present it to Steven Spielberg?!  ;D

I loved the book and think it would be a great movie provided they did not change it to much.

 :D

I too think it would make a fantastic film that all of us "Romanov" buffs would enjoy -- however I would
worry that just like Ingrid Bergman's "Anastasia" or the more recent cartoon - people who didn't know the real
story would think it was true -  ???

While I too enjoyed the book, we here at AP know the
real story and can enjoy the "what ifs" without putting too much face value on the more far-fetched ones.

The general movie-going public however, would probably think it was true and start doing their history
papers on the "miraculous" story presented in the film.

So I'm kinda of two minds about it, as you can tell! :P

Well, so that the audience knows that the story is NOT true, when the movie finishes, and the credits begin, it can say (in text):

THIS IS NOT A FACTUAL MOVIE. THE PEOPLE, PLACES, AND FACTS HAVE BEEN CHANGED IN ORDER TO SUIT THE STORY

or, they can put a prologue (or is it epilogue?) after the movie finishes, on what REALLY happened on July, 17 1918.

Actually, my twin sister and I are both going into moviemaking. While we already have a number of movies and ideas we know we want to start with, we've decided to make a Romanov movie...The Kitchen Boy is what we were leaning towards. And yeah, we'd consider adding such phrases before the movie as based on the book by...or some type of discretion.

But if you leave it up to us... ;)....you won't be disappointed. The ideas we have in mind for this are not only big...but amazing too.  ;D

If the movie rights have not already been sold, one would have to buy them before anything could be done.

Don't worry! I know that!  :D And yes, m' dear, it is a book. A very good one that I'm sure every Romanov fan recommends. I won't say anymore...I don't want to spoil it for you.
