Yes, i hope this movie will eventually come to be made. Time will tell.

I've always thought Lili Dehn's book, The Real Tsaritsa would make a great drama.

Her account of the revolution as experienced by those in the AP really does capture the tension, uncertainty and fear of those days as the shadow of revolt loomed large and dark over Tsarkoe Selo.

That is simply amazing. I wonder how they will do it, with the facts now being known for sure - that they all died. Still am really curious to see it. We need a new Romanov-movie.

As long as people enjoy it, I don't think anyone but us would care.  It's just like that annoying cartoon, "Anastasia."  People know the truth, but it's still entertainment.  If they can handle reading the book without burning it for heresy, they can stand the movie.

Oh, BTW, I totally agree.  After watching Nicholas and Alexandra for the millionth time already, I want something new.

I read the book and loved it. I just hope if they do a movie based on The Kitchen Boy, they do a good job in producing it. Hollywood nowadays has a bad habit of messing up adaptations of books to movies.

Hollywood has never let a good book stop them from making a bad movie!

The fact The Kitchen Boy has been optioned does not mean a film will be made. Some projects stay in development for eons - or many years, depending on how you calculate. But, the option on the book will expire at some point and if no film is made, the rights will go up for sale again.

and yet, still no guarantee of an actual movie
