It looks as though the 'then' Catherine pictures were taken at the time of Marie Pavlovna's wedding. One shows her with her father, the other with Vilhelm.

The first photo is indeed of Maria Pavlovna and her husband Wilhelm (1908)
But the second photo is of Elena Vladimirovna and her husband Nicholas (1902)

Freidberg , Darmstadt and Bad Nauheim were all very interesting .  Took a ton of photos and videos , not sure what I want to do with them yet.

Having looked into it , it's not going to happen anytime soon - join photobucket , mess around with urls , slow uploads .... zzzzz . No patience with that kind of setup.

Ha , I always do TimM !  Nevertheless , I will upload some videos onto youtube over the next few weeks , and indeed I have already uploaded one . They were never intended to be posted publically . If they had been, I would have taken far more care to get them right - but they are what they are.
