did the Tsar  Have  Really   wild pets as he grew up ?

Well, they did have cats and dogs.  Not sure about other animals though.

Nicholas's brother Georgi Alexandrovich did have a parrot, which did a mean imitation of their English tutor, Mr Heath.

Maybe it's because, it was strange for someone to have exotic pets at the time , but he did probably see exotic animals, didn't he?

I believe the parrot was called Popka aka Popov which he usually kept in his bathing chamber.


There was the hybrid horse (or mule) zebra cross he inspected but I can't find the photograph to hand! ...and of course the famous lovely elephant
