Marc and others,

Not to change topics here, but, did the famous Queen Louise of Prussia write any court memoirs, diaries, etc?

I hear she is the Patron Saint of German Piety, even if the Church does not recognize her as such?

I hear she suffered horribly on this earth, but, her only suffering I can find is a series of French libels?

She was Kaiser Willhelm's mother, yes?  Thanks for any info you can provide--a lot of German history is really German exclusive.

Did you check the internet already? There is a lot of stuff about Luise.
For example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_of_Mecklenburg-Strelitz
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_William_III_of_Prussia
http://www.koenigin-luise.com/Luise/english/english.html
And yes, she was the mother of Emperor Wilhelm I.
