IMPORTANT: If you use Photobucket, read this!

Photobucket has decided that, if I want to keep using them to present pictures, I would have to upgrade to something called a Plus 500 Plan. However, the kicker is that I would have to pay for it!

Well, this is the straw that broke the camels back. I've thus terminated my PB account.   Which is why all my pictures are gone now (although they're still on my computer, of course).

To see your pictures now, you're either gonna have to fork over a $US400 ($526) annual fee now, or find an alternative site for your pictures to be seen now.

$400? They don't offer anywhere near enough to justify asking for that much every year. I barely used them anymore anyway, so that's that I guess.

I'm sure they've just lost a lot of clients because of this ill advised move.  I imagine they'll be going belly up before long.

Imageshack did exactly the same thing a few years ago.

I use imgur or even Flirck to host images .

Photobucket is now blurring their pictures.  An online friend of mine found out why:

Did some quick Googling, and apparently, they're blurring/watermarking images in accounts that use too much bandwidth.

PhotoSuckIt is a relic from 15 years ago and is only waiting for someone to pull the plug. They have no reason to exist in the era of Imgur.

I've come to like Imgur, too.  It's a lot more user friendly than Photobucket was.

I did some checking and found that there have been some changes at Photobucket since their disastrous policy change in 2017.  Once-blurred images (approx. 60 million of them) have been restored.  Management has been replaced and new, more reasonable pricing policy adopted.  Prices are $4.99/mo for 25GB beginner plan, to $11.99/mo for unlimited photo storage.   

Still not free, but much better than $400/mo.
