We know that he used to take part in them.

I apologize, I made mistake in expressing my thoughts. Actually I meant that he was presented there,as 'spectator'/'the watcher', during the ceremonies, as I explained in my previous post, since I had thought that 'take part' meant 'be there, be presented'. But no, of course...

That would be "present" not "presented".

But I think that your translations are very good.

I do remember now that he sat in the section reserved for the Duma members.  Rodzyanko told him to leave.

Check this out. I'm sure most have seen it, but since the topic hasn't been used in a while, here is some footage on youtube allegedly of Rasputin.

Hmmm.. possible. I feel it's a little fuzzy to be absolutely sure.
To be honest though, I could have sworn I had seen footage of Rasputin somewhere..... it wasn't a close up, but it was him walking on a shoreline or something. I wish I could have proof to back it up, but I don't even know what documentary it would have been on. A Russian one, I'm sure, but which one? Should I ever come across any possible video footage of Rasputin I'll be sure to post it.

Sure there is! I saw him on Letterman about four years ago...

The Douglas Smith book on Rasputin mentions on page 327 of Rasputin being filmed on 2 occations but neither of the films survived.
