Ilias there was no referendum in France to end the reign of Napoleon III. He was deposed. As for the Greek deputies they may well be gutless. They could also realise the issue of restoration is dead in the water. Where are the people out in the streets in Athens and other Greek cities demanding the return of the former King? The answer is they are not interested otherwise there would be massive demonstrations in his favour. Constantine long ago accepted the results of the referendum.
I was talking about the Bourbons actually.
Napoleon was a lunatic and his family/decendants were and probably still do want glory and power, a bit like the Greek Republicans by the way,as for Karamalis' deputies, I said they were Royalists, not proactive Royalists. As for the people of Greece, you might be surprised.
Oh and if any one wants to argue with me about the so called great French Emperor Napoleon, who killed, robbed, pillaged( and probably raped aswell,)throughout Europe,,
I wish to draw your attention to Alan Schom's book,(I just finished reading it for the nTH time.)
It's called amazingly, Napoleon Bonaparte,
