I have been assiduously perusing the forum and website for about two years and finally decided to join the forum. I have learned lots from your posts.
Two questions,
I am very interested in KR. I cannot find any books on him. Is there anything out there? So far I have gotten the most on him from “The Other Grandukes.” (Do I learn Russian at this point).
I have seen his diaries (very expensive but not totally out of reach). And Greg King's book Gilded Prism.” The price is prohibitive. I am curious to know why that book is so expensive.
KR is my #1 Grand Duke. What a gifted human being. I wonder if he would have been a hood Czar. My instinct is probably not.
