I heard they divorced because Joachim's clubbing and drinking went a little too far. :-/ :-/

really?? that comes as a big surprise for me, because everything that i read about the couple before is that they were quiet, living in a farm in the countryside  :P :P :P i guess the truth is a little bit different what one expects over a magazine   :o

Yes, that seems to be the reasons, but not much have been said about the divorce.  There is some about it in the Princess Alexandra thread, which is what the public concluded..

It was a mutual divorce, and planned long before the official announcement.  The house that Alexandra will move into was bought for her in February 2004, and put in her name on her birthday in June 2004 before the palace announced the separation.  It has been suggested that Joachim's juvenile behavior, his extra marital affair, his drinking all contributed to the breakdown in the marriage.

No, it was not specific after the Russian line.Joachim and Alexandra wanted to give the children names that were internationel and with Felix they wanted (like Joachims mother) to give him a more speciel name, not used by many royals. But both children have "normal" royal names.
