1903 Court Ball Album (Russky Antiquariat, Moscow, 2003)

Elisa, i saw in Moscow a work of art of a book. It was about the 1903 ball and was published in 2003 i think for the centenary and cost as much as 600$!!! I wasn´t able to buy it and once saw one exemplair on ebay....but the same price. Hope i had one someday....

My fiance ordered a copy of the above book from uniquepresent.com for me many weeks ago and payment was made in full at the time.  However, the book has never arrived and the company ignore emails asking for assistance.  I cannot get through on the telephone as the tel number on the website is unavailable to callers from outside of the USA.  As this book is extremely expensive, I would certainly warn any fellow members to think twice before using this company to purchase the book.

I'm so sorry Annette!  :'(I know that this book is interesting you! But I waited 1 month when I ordered it...it come from Russia, you know... :-/ But I ordered it on a russian site "ozon", so I can't tell you something about uniquepresent.com.  :-XI'm sorry!

The book arrived on Christmas Eve, despite the company not returning any of my fiance's emails and the website saying it had not been shipped!  

Art, I didn't know for sure until just before Christmas that my fiance had ordered the book and I was just about to email you to say I had finally got it and it is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny.

I get your point.  I'll have to think about this one; sounds like a gem of a book (and as you rightly said to me, useful for my work).  And yes, I have wasted plenty of money on rubbishy biogs before now!
