Thank you!...so it is the visit of Emperor Karl and Empress Zita in Bolzano, I have seen some photos of that day but this is the first time that I see a video of it.

I read the book quite some time ago. According to Mr. Leo Hammerschmidt's book she lived in a type of convent, or a house provided by the Bishop of Quebec. Outside of Quebec City, a suburb called Syllery.

Only 2 of her sons went to the University there. “Universite de Laval a Quebec”. It was Archduke Carl Ludwig and Archduke Rudolf.

She lived there 9 years, the long and cold winters made that she requested to go further south. Then she moved close to N.Y.
The book is worth reading but Mr. Hammerschnid is not an historian and has certain interpretations that need not be 100% correct. None the less he makes a recollection of interviews from people who had contact with the Empress during that time and wrote down his impressions.  It is evident that Mr. Hammerschmidt is a whole hearted monarchist.

His book is the only written recollection that I know of from the time the Empress lived in Canada.

Unfortunately I haven't seen photos of Zita and her children in Canada...

maybe there are some in the last empress of Austria: the story of Her Imperial and Royal Majesty Zita of Habsburg-Lorraine and her sojourn in Québec City, 1940-1950 ?, Maximilano?...

Someone has he the book  "Das Familienalbum  von Kaiser Karl und Kaiserin Zita" ? I would buy it but I do not know if he has a lot of unpublished photos of Karl and Zita, including their respective youth. Who do I contact about this ? Thank you in advance for the answer.

I ordered that book right today, unfortunately I don't know if it has much of unpublished photos and I'm not sure if I will receive it, since it's not easily available here in Italy. :- (
