Daughters of Elena and Nikolaos.
Here are Princess Olga with her 2 sons and her sisters.

All sisters had a great resemblance to each other in this pic! So amazing! :o

Why did Max of Baden break off his engagement to Elena? (please.  :))

I read an interesting anecdote. The jewels she wore for her wedding were, like those of other Romanov brides, those of Catherine the Great. Some of them were acquired by Cartier the jeweller after the Revolution - he bought them very cheaply in Paris. He said he would not break them up because he was waiting to return them to the Emperor when Tsardom eventually was restored...I wonder if he is still waiting.... :(

Blue,

Of course not.  Cartier gave all those Imperial jewels to GD Ella for the Little Princesses Katlyn & Ella Jr.

The jewels not good enough for our GD Ella & her daughters are now hanging around the neck of THE Grand Duke's dog.

It not a painting, but a photo.

The diamond nuptial crown which was originally reputed to have been made with diamonds from a belt of Catherine the Great was sold by Cartier to Helene De Kay after her death it was bought  by the great collector Marjorie Merriweather Post. Today it is on display with hundreds of other Russian artefacts in Hillwood her former home in Washington DC. Many other of Mrs Posts stupendous and historic gems are in the Smithsonian in DC

The Greeks and the family of GD Kyrill.

Left to right
Princess Elisabeth of Greece, Prince Nicolaos, his spouse Elena Vladimirovna, GD Kyrill, his spouse  Viktoria Fedorovna, GD Vladimir Kyrillovitch, Prince of Leiningen, and GD Andrey Vladimirovitch

Grand Duke Vladimir Kirilovich looks in his mid-teens, possibly then the photo can be from around 1932/33.

Elisabeth of Greece married in 1934 to Karl Theodor Törring-Jettenbach.

In 1936 Victoria Melita died, followed two years later by Prince Nicholas of Greece and Grand Duke Kiril Vladimirovich, respectively.

My bet is therefore that this photo is indeed from the early 1930s.

The exact date of that photo is November 29, 1930. It was some reception at Palais Bourbon in Paris.

I like this picture especially because it has Pcss Katherine and Eugenie in there; I always find pix of them little or really old but not as young adults.  Does anyone know what color the bridesmaids' dresses were?

She wasn't in the wedding party. She was for Princess Mary before she married the Duke of York.

Maybe she's not in this shot because she was married and they just wanted the bridesmaids and the brothers.  But where's Prince Henry???
