The way that the books are available depends on the person who is offering them.

Sometime they are just free and that means no charge for anything even shipping.

Sometimes there will be a charge for postage, but the book is free.

Sometimes, people want to swap, but that is hard unless someone has a book that someone else wants.

I have benefited from this thread.  I have received several books at no charge and I have sent out several others at no charge.  I haven't asked for postage yet.

Sometimes when I come across a box of books that no one else wants, I will go through it and take what I think this forum might like and then offer them on this thread.  For instance a woman my mother knew left a box of books in her apartment when she moved.  We checked and she said that she didn't want them, to just throw them out.  I got right on it and went through the box to find "Born To Rule" and a few other biographies that I knew I had but that someone here would want.  I posted them and they went very fast.

Never let a good free book go to waste.

'Michael and Natasha' have already found a new home, where I hope they will be happy. Thanks and apologies to other members who sent a message, but there will be other copies I am sure.

Thanks Joyann! That's a very kind offer.
Just bumping up this thread to give it some life.
I plan on cataloging my books and seperating my duplicates this summer, so I hope to contribute again soon!

Yesterday I came across this thread for the first time and it is a great idea to offer and sell some books to each other!!
I offer the following book:

Travels with Queen Victoria, written by HRH The Duchess of York and Benita Stoney
ISBN 9780297831952
Year of publication: 1993
The book is in a good state, I bought it second hand last year. It has an inscription on one of the first pages.
Feel free to PM me if you are interested!

Maybe we could swap? I would like to have this book:
Nicholas and Alexandra: At home with the last tsar and his family
