Princess Natalija secondly married, in England, count Gaston Errembault de Dudzeele (1877-1961). They had a daughter together, Hélène (1921-2006), but I am afraid that this is all I know.  :-[

Very interesting!
Do you know if the marriage between Mirko and Natalija was a love match or an arranged one? More info about her life before and after the montenegrin wedding?

The Index of Marriages for England and Wales shows the marriage of Nathalie Petrovitch and Gaston E de Dudzeele was registered in 1920 March quarter in the Registration District of Eastbourne, Sussex.

Maybe they had two daughters? I remember reading somewhere, although I do not remember where (which is sadly too often the case with me; I read a lot and some facts from here and there stick in my mind but then I can not remember where I read them), about a daughter named Hélène.

I made a quick search on the internet (I know, not the most reliable source) and found this site:
http://geneweb.inria.fr/roglo?lang=sv;i=294784
Apparently this daughter had issue.

I do not know how reliable this site is, though.

His father wanted that marriage because he thought that when the Serbian throne becomes vacant, his son or even he could pretend for it!As Natalia is Obrenovic descedant married to a Montenegrian Prince this would be highly valued in terms of reigning house in Serbia...most people in Serbia would not want a foriner King, but they are historically connected to Montenegro,so better Nicholas han someone else...

My source for 10 June 1903 was An Encyclopedia of World History (Compiled and Edited by William L. Langer) revised third edition. page 715.

I notice some other souces mention 11 June or sometimes 10/11 June 1903.

All very confusing.

Natalie was apparently good friends with, and spent a good deal of time in Paris with, her American sister-in-law Anne Cutting.

While the marriage of Natalie & Mirko had been a love match--it had originally been thought that a more glamorous match could be made for Mirko--the marriage deteriorated rather quickly amidst Mirko's brazen infidelity. Eventually the scandals proved to much for Natalie to ignore. When the 2 separated in 1913,and Natalie went to live with her parents in Paris, Mirko spread rumors to his sister Elena that Natalie had seduced Elena's husband, King Victor Emmanuel of Italy. This so outraged the family that Nicholas had to put Mirko under virtual house arrest.

The couple's son Michael recalled his mother as 'blond, very beautiful, big dark eyes' and she reminded him of a 'goddess'.

Her nickname was 'Lili'.

The book on Nicholas & Milena states that she remarried in 1920.

She was very close to the Italian Royal Family. She spent many summers with Queen Elena of Italy and King VE III, She was called Aunt Lily, and the sons were called MIKI, POLI and Emmanuel, named after the King of Italy. In 1913 Natalia and sons arrived in Italy and stayed there until the end of 1914 with the Royal Family, after I don't know were the went, but in 1917 they were again with the Queen in Piemont (Sant'Anna di Valdieri)

Can you tell me if Mirko was taken prisoner by the Germans? Why did he die in Vienna, in 1918? Where is he buried?
