Yeah, that disgusts me. That was dispicable. (I don't think I spelled that right, but it seemed the word to use.)

"despicable" Sorry, couldn't help myself, but at least it sort of lightened the mood. Still, you're right, it's more than a better word in such use.

Peace out.

I remember once seeing part of a film of Alexei and his parents in procession. Does anyone else know of any other times the Romanovs were filmed?

There are a number of clips of the family at both official functions and informal ones, such as roller-skating or dancing on the deck of the Standart. Most films about the Romanovs feature some of these clips.

Here are a couple links to Romanov archival film clips:

Can someone tell me how to access the numeral I on Laura's site? All I see is her introductory note, the copyright, etc. O course there's the picture layout but that's expected.

Hey Laura thanks for replying!:)

I got to that page, but have no idea how to get to the I. Do I need to enlarge my desktop? It's 800x600 now. Unfortunately anything larger means I have to reset all the font sizes to accomodate my vision problem, because anything larger than 800x600 the font becomes microscopic to me.

I see your little note, about the news and the welcome, but I don't see anything to click on except for E-mail me and your site copyright.

The website itself is coded in 800x600, so your resolution shouldn't be the problem.
I'll Pm you.  :)

an excellent documentry if you want footage of the family is Nicholas and alexandra the documentary.

Yes, but it's only a few seconds long. Laura Mabee has it -- it's included in a video tribute she made with the song "Goodnight" by Evanescence in the background. I tried to find it on her site, but I must be looking in the wrong spot. If you PM her, I bet she'll give you the link. (I have the file, but I don't want to upload it to YouTube without her permission.) The footage of Aleksei is about 46 seconds into the clip.

This is also a part of a video she has on her website on Alexie. I would like to know where she got that. It looks like it is from tv or a video. It has dramatization and narration in russian.
