Adding video clips on a website is very difficut downloading and installing stuff makes my computer so slow. Downloading sometimes takes a long time. I seen a couple of video clips with Alexei in a movie. I seen eight archive film footages of Alexei. There are some video films I seen with Maria. Maybe later on, I could put some films of Alexei and his sisters on the internet. On this movie database website it had the film footage of   ;)

Alexei in movie archive footages.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0874743/

Maria in movie archive footages.

Can you watch them though?

No it is not for watching video clips I wish that they would do that, but its only tell you who were in the video's and you can search for the video's to buy on amazon and ebay. I think they can be found in colleges and universities libraries. I sure they would have them in either places or websites. I hope this helps for you Maria~fan. I wanted to see the Guns of August and Assasinations that changed the world. I will post all the movies they were in at the bottom.

In that documentary, they are doing parallels with characters of the books/movies, such as Aragorn, Gandalf, Frodo, etc. with historical characters and events. It is interesting...although I don't remember Alexei being mentionned, I'll have to see it again.

You can find it on the theatrical release of Return of the King, on the extras DVD

lostfan, you are correct in reference to the "slapping incident" being related to the position of the direction of the cadet's gaze.   Speculation seems to have been rife here about the genesis of the Heir's reaction.  The Heir is having his cadet/playmates participate in a small military drill, going through some of the Manual of Arms.  It is difficult to tell who is giving the commands (ostensibly the sailor Derevenko), as the camera does not "pan" about.  The command had just been given to "Present Arms," wherein the mock rifles of the cadet/playmates are held vertically in front of the individual with eyes straight ahead.  Then the command "Eyes Right" was given, wherein there would be a sudden turning to the right of the head only.  This the 6th cadet from the left failed to do and the Heir physically corrected him with the impuslivity of a child.  Because of his position, the Heir would know and expect the correctness of the command.  I might add that the 4th cadet from the left also does not follow through.  It would seem normal that there would be other potential distractions, such as the camera, etc. that could intervene.

Just a note about the Lord of the Rings documentary. Wormtongue was compared to Rasputin in that documentary, and they featured photographs and some video of the family, hence the credit on IMDB.

Any chance of seeing that documentary online? (I´m HUGE fan of LOTR :) )
I don´t think Rasputin was like Wormtongue though. Rasputin was not after power and didn´t mean to harm anyone....

Yeah I don't know about seeing it online, you could search for it, but it's definitely worth checking out. Not only do you see historians comment on the characters and the parallels with history, but you also see the stars talking about the parallels as well. Sir Ian McKellen, for example, comments on Rasputin: "Some people said he smelled. I mean literally."

I think one of the historians was a little mistaken when he said that he told the Imperial Couple that Aleksei was curable... I thought to myself, "Didn't he in fact simply say that he would not die from hemophilia? In which case he was right; he did not die of hemophilia... He was shot and stabbed to death instead, not exactly a kinder fate LOL." Course I might be mistaken but that's just what I thought at the time.
