Does anyone ever wonder what might have happened for the entire Romanov family if Nicholas hadn't died and Dagmar married him instead? Would things have been different?

Another what if of history. From what we know Nixa was more of a reformer like his father. Had both lived, then the history might be different.

Indeed. However Dagmar had always been "the clever one" of the trio of the Danish Princesses. She lacked the beauty of Alix and the sweetness of Thyra, but she was smart and adapted quickly to her new surroundings.
