Does anyone know the relationship of Olga and Marie before their marriage?Their relations were not at all perfect ones after their marriage...

There was a text in Serbian newspapers that after the engagement of Marie to Alexander,Olga wrote to Marie from Greece and said:"My dear Mignon,I understand your excitement because the two of us are now in the same "story"..." regarding her brief situation with Prince Frederick of Denmark!

That is interesting because Olga did not claim to be in love with Rico (nickname of Frederik) at the time. After Alexander's admiration for Olga's elegance and lovely children, Mignon became very jealous of her.

I thought the same,but as this was written in a letter,so maybe it had more official context so I did not know what kind or relationship those two had before their marriages...after all they were second cousins!

I also wonder what kind or realtions Olga had with Frederick when they met of some royal occations?Did they avoid eachother and just greeted eachother when they had to or...?

I guess Olga was excited about the whole engagement thing, and maybe Rico's unattractive bits came later.

By the time they met again, both Olga & Rico had already married with respective spouses (Paul & Ingrid). They seem to be ok in each other's company.

Both sons look like their father, but Nicholas bears an uncanny resemblance to Prince Paul.

For my part, I think that Alexander looks more like her mother. As for Elisabeth, I can not find her any resemblance to one of her parents.

I think Elizabeth's dark coloring came from her father, but she does have features from her mother she she grew older.
