It's amazing to think that Eight are still missing. Maybe they were broken up or maybe the owners don't which to disclose the information?

Thank you for sharing the location of those eggs. These eggs were very beautiful and it seems to me that the Empress and the Dowager Empress would find special places to put these treasures.

There are several excellent websites that detail the locations of the eggs. The Winter Egg is not one of the missing ones.

londo954-thank you for the location of those eggs. This means that those four eggs as well as the Fifteenth Anniversary Egg were in the Maple Room. I think I read there were at least two or three other eggs found here. These eggs were probably from the years of 1905 and onwards. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The Rosebud and Coronation Eggs were in the Imperial Apartment in the Winter Palace.

I am also curious as to which of the Dowager Empress's eggs were removed from the Anichkov Palace in 1917 for the Kremlin. It seems like if all her eggs were kept here, they were not all removed.

Thanks!

Is it known if the eight missing Imperial Easter Eggs were looted from the Dowager Empress's Gatchina Palace?

Her other eggs were kept at the Anitchikov Palace and were safely removed by the Provincial Government, correct?

Thanks!
