In St. Petersburg, i think that it´s in the court yard of the Marble Palace, there is a fabulous satatue of Alexander III riding a horse. The figure of the Tzar impressed me, he looks so strong and powerfull.

The poor horse seems to be crashed because of the weight of the enormous Tzar.

Has anyone have pickes of this statue???

Does anyone know what the LAST photo of Aleksandr III and his ENTIRE family (Minny, Nicky, Georgii, Ksenia, Misha & Olga) would have been?

Of course there is an exceptional exhibition here in St Pt. :)  - "Emperor Alexander III amd Empress Maria Fedorovna". I've been there recently. Fantastic items one can see! :o Rare pictures, photos, portraits, dresses of Mf and uniforms of the Emperor, books, statues, coronation chair of Alexander III and so on...The catalogue is a fat incredible book about 420 pages, so pity it does not contain all the items (esp. photos ) from the exhibition.

Ooh, sounds yummy! Do you know how we in North America could get hold of a copy?
