I've seen that photo as well. Lanie's right -- there are LOTS of misidentifications in Grabbe's book, but I don't see how he could have had a photo from Tobolsk in his private collection. I think he last saw the IF in 1916. (Granted, I had to take 'my' copy back to the library, so I'm going on memory.) But Grabbe was with Nicholas at headquarters, and Nicholas did stay in the governor's mansion there, so I'm inclined to believe Grabbe (just this once  ;) )

I think there's a post of this photo somewhere on this site already. Maybe in the Final Chapter forum?

No, it's from the Governor's House in Mogilev, 1916, during one of OTMA's visits. Impossible to be from Tobolsk as Count Grabbe had deserted the Romanovs. I don't think they'd go sending him snapshots.
