Elisabeth is the child of Prince Knud of Denmark and his wife Princess Caroline Mathilde, also born a Princess of Denmark.

Knud was the younger brother of King Frederik IX.

Princess Elisabet was born in 1935 and for years had a relationship with a non-royal gentleman, but unlike her brothers who married commoners and lost their dynastic rights, Elisabeth never married and remains a dynast in Denmark.

Prince Knud Christian Frederik Michael of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Hereditary Prince of Denmark, was born july 27 1900 at Fredensborg Castle.

He was the youngest son of King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine.

In 1933, he married his cousin, Princess Caroline Mathilde of Denmark.
Born in 1912, she was one of the daughters of Prince Harald of Denmark and Princess Helene of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg.

They had three children :

- Princess Elisabeth (b. 8 May 1935)
- Prince Ingolf, Count of Rosenberg (b. 17 February 1940)
- Prince Christian, Count of Rosenberg (b. 22 October 1942)

Prince Knud died on 14 June 1976.

Yes, Elisabeth is the only one who is still a member of the RF and a dynast.

Count Ingolf is the highest ranking person in Denmark besides the RF.
He is also the only child of Prince Knud that has an income from the state, because of his former status as future king.
