The project of reconstruction of Samson in Peterhof, built in 1838 and open in 1839,known as the best one there, the architect was Sharmeliu,it situated according to my source in the street of the palace.

The hotel has been demolished by fire in 1928

Does some have heard of this plan?

On what background of a palace or a summer residence the photo or it not Tsarskoe Selo is made?

One more riddle. On performance of firemen there was Great Princess Maria Pavlovna, Its Royal Highnes King's son Nikolay Grechesky. The head A.Lemmergirt's section, chairman of exhibition committee prince Putjatin and...
But where it is removed? Or this building at the Oryol gate 3 floors a minimum, or is a city Town hall, or still something.

PS
In archive date on old style on August, 28th is specified and it is not other strange.
В архиве указана дата по старому стилю 28 августа и это немного странно.

Unless you speak Russian it is best to go to all the Palaces with a guide. A guide can be obtained easily through Intourist at a reasonable charge. Mine were very good in St.Petersburg and Moscow. A car with a driver can also be easily arranged. The two usually come together.

I'll be in peter from 21th to 25th july and I travel on my own with my family
I'm arranging my plane of visits, but Ive some difficulties to get timetable and fee of Catherina's palace, pavlosk and Peterhof.
Then I've read of some trouble in visiting caterina's palace without a group
Can you help me in this matter?
Which palace do you suggest to me to visit prior? I'll spend up to 1 day of total three on palaces
any notice on opening hours and fees?

Thank you so much and greeting from Rome

Hi d.mairoino,

As you will have only one day for all three palaces, there is a difficulty due to great distance between Tsarskoe Selo/Pavlovsk and Peterhof and the opening times of usually 10:00 to 5:00. It is possible to do all three if you have a car or taxi (which would approximately be at least 5000 roubles for the day) with Tsarskoe Selo/Pavlovsk in the morning (but it will be rush) and then drive across Krasnoe Selo/Ropsha and up to Peterhof with possibly a couple of hours for a quick visit. If you can allow 2 days with mornings of each - one morning Tsarskoe/Pavlovsk and the other Peterhof allowing late afternoons back in St. Petersburg.

The Catherine Palace is very difficult to enter as independent traveller. The line up is long and you could be standing until 4:00 and still never get in especially as you will be going in the high tourist season of July when there are literally 50 plus tours heading to Tsarskoe etc. If you go alone you will be able to enter Alexander Palace and Pavlovsk but with the tour you will only be at the Catherine Palace and Pavlovsk. Here is a example of a tour to check out:
http://www.affiliate.viator.com/brochure/product_show.jsp?CODE=3887TS&ID=1010&PRODUCTID=1016&AUID=4107
As noted, there are no tours on Tuesday or Friday. You can check with them to confirm the dates you want and also of Peterhof.

If you travel alone and wish to take the train to Detskoe Selo (Tsarskoe Selo)/Pavlovsk, here is a sample schedule:
http://www.voksal.spb.ru/viteb2.htm
and to Peterhof:
http://www.voksal.spb.ru/balt4.htm

There are also outside Gostiny Dvor on Nevsky Prospekt tour buses for tourists without pre-booking but there again they will wait until the bus is full and you will lose time and as they are on a daily basis, I am not sure even if when they get to the Catherine Palace you will be able to enter or not as priority will be given to booked tours.

Have a super trip!
Joanna

Of the two, I would recommend Peterhof for not only the Great Palace and the Cottage Alexandria Park but the fountains are a treasure. As it is July, you can take the hydrofoil from the Winter Palace area which would be magnificent.

I agree with Joanna. The fountains and gardens of Peterhof are not to be missed. The hydrofoil is a great way to go. You can catch it near the Winter Palace.

I've seen schedule you've sent to me, but can you be so kind to write me in cyrillic the names of start and stop station, so I can recognize it on the time table?

Thanks you so much
