Quote from the website...

Quote
Shortly after he was introduced to the German Princess Alice of Hessen and Darmstadt and fell in love with her. The engagement took place on April 7, 1894. Matilda was devastated by the news, a bitter pill the many letters Nicholas kept sending her could not sugar…

Do such letters still survive?

Ex-Princess Lisa -  I mean no disrespect to you.  Please, why don't you have your own DNA test done?

You and your family should do that.  In that way all speculation will cease and you will have either changed history or changed your family's view of themselves.

Yes I would like to have my own DNA test done. If anyone could suggest where I could get it tested, I would do it.

I have already contacted the Forensic Science Service some years ago, but they were not interested in testing my DNA even though I offered them money. They said I would have to contact the Russians, but would not give me anymore help than that.

I have also contacted Dr Teri Melton this year. I explained I needed to have my DNA tested to prove I was descended from Tsar Nicholas II and would be willing to pay money for it.. But Dr Teri Melton only tests for mitochrondria DNA, she said she was unable to help me because I need a different DNA test. I asked her if she could recommend  someone to help me but she could not.

Because I am descended from Tsar Nicholas II by the male line  -  he was my fathers fathers father, there is 2 types of test that could be used.

Either compare my fathers Y chromosome DNA against the Y chromosome DNA of a known Romanov, if should be identical.

Or possibly compare my nuclear DNA or my fathers nuclear DNA against the nuclear DNA of a known Romanov. The technology is available now to be able to make familial comparisons, it will not give a direct match, but it would show we belong to the same family group.

If these DNA tests could be done then speculation would cease.

Any suggestions anyone?
Unfortunately nobody gives you answers. Russian do not want to find the truth. >:(

dmitri, have you not read the entirity of this thread?  A great deal of research has been done here to disprove these claims, by myself and others. You are just being sanctimonious about something you do not care to deal with. So why are you wasting your time?
Back to the  topic. I did look into the so-called  illegimate daughter, Celina. Hmm, she was born in 1911, long after the  "affairre" between Mathilde  and Nicholas was over. So the Russian petty politician is just blowing hot air.
As for Beatrice and her so-called issue, well that story was easily disproved by the simple fact that Nicholas was not there for the impregnation, and further dis-credited when ther claimant said she was married to ANOTHER illegimate issue! as well as further facts that  the whole "affair" was impossible by geopgraphical impossibilty.
These stories will go on, forever it seems. Not just with the Romanovs, we all know.
You wish for more, dmitri, add something other than your pompous platitudes and condemnations.
As for me, I have yet to reveal my story of a fellow who claims to be a descendant of another affaire , totally unrealistic, of Nicholas and a Geisha he was provided with on the "Japan visit. These stories are legend, of course.

Whose was Celina daugther? Was it Anna Vyrubova or somebody else?
Can you write to me more about Celine, please?

And what would the purpose of this be? The young lady was MK's niece, not her daughter, and certainly not an illegitimate son (or daughter) of the Emperor.

I am beginning to see that leaving this thread open is not a good idea, as the discussions become more and more ridiculous.
