Duty Guard Log
« on: August 21, 2011, 04:55:44 AM »
In "A lifelong Passion" there are some extracts from the "Duty Guard log" of the guards in Ipatev House, and they seem very interesting because everything the IF did in a certain day was noted down. I couldn't find infos about this documents in the book, but i really would like to know wether the DGL is a document that can be consulted, and where i could find it - even buying it of course. I made some researches but no way. Thanks!

The guards' log is printed in English in Alekseyev's Last Act of a Tragedy, which is very difficult to find. (I've never seen it in the original Russian.)

I transcribed a copy and sent it to FA & Bob a while ago, but I don't think it's been posted to the APTM yet.

Thanks, Sarah - so i could hope to see it on AP site one day? Really hope it'll be soon!
I was looking for that book too, and found out it is quite impossible. I'll try another bit to find a russiuan copy, but i'm quite sure i won't have  more success than you.

Good lord, I'd love to see that as well... reading it along with N and A's diaries would be something. Thanks for the topic Sunny!

We can't  publish Last Act here because the book is still under copyright of the publishers.  We have a copy in our library as well.

Thanks. I was thinking the same, since making some researches i saw it has been publicated in 1996 - i thought it was much older. I'd like to have libraries with internation inter - library services but, on the contrary, in Italy they are barely able to find me a book who is in the library of the next town...
