The article says that a women was trying to buy a few strands of Queen Victoria's hair contained in a scrapbook so she could prove she was a Romanov.  Does anyone know who this woman is and who she claims to be descended from?

Very interesting. Thanks for the Post. I do believe Granne Alena was from Australia. I just bought the book, "A princess in the family." I wonder if whoever bought the album has a connection to her?

No, Granny Alina was from South Africa, but her stepgrandson lives in Australia.

Just wanted to clear that up.
