i LOVE Ortino! Where I work (at a boarding facility for dogs) there is a tan-colored French Bulldog there named Fiona, but I secretly named her Ortino

yes in that pic Alexei does resemble Tatiana a lot. There is also another pic --I think it's in Love, Power & Tragedy or N&A: The Family Albums-- of Alexei sitting on the floor with some kind of weird hat on his head. His resemblance to TN struck me there, also.

yes i suspet that he would be tall and handsome just like nicky! and he would grow out of bleeding. i read some where that when he was 17 that he would grow out of bleeding is this true?

I beleive that is something Father Grigory said. Although his predictions seemed to have a way of comming true, at least in the IF's mind, heamophilia (or most any blood disorder) can't just stop, I don't think.

B_T, I'm not sure what year it was taken, but it looks like it was at Livadia, so it would have to have been at least 1911, I think?   But thanks for posting it, I've never seen it before!
