yes i suspet that he would be tall and handsome just like nicky! and he would grow out of bleeding. i read some where that when he was 17 that he would grow out of bleeding is this true?

So brings up many, many, many arguments.

You see, the line of Heamophelia came from Alix through her relationship as Granddaughter to Queen Victoria, but I was reading Blood Relative recently. (The author may be a liar but some, and I stress some, of his research is pretty good]

That the heamophelia may have not been heamophelia but a related, less intense, blood disorder, the rumor only started because Alexei's navel bleed slightly after his umblical cord was cut! It doesn't really sound like cause to set off alarms that it was heamophelia.

Most of Rasputin's apparent powers to "calm" Alexei's attacks could have been, (and with a ton of evidence,) pure asprin. Which causes bleeding and damage to the lining of the stomach.

The Tsar himself was suspicious of Rasputin, even though Alix trusted him completely, and while he kept Alexei with him during the war, had him sleeping on a camp-bed at the end of his own bed. Alexei was fine and very healthy away from Rasputin, sending off alarms in Nicky's mind.

So his condition may have been very mild and triggered only by Rasputin's "magic" medicine. As you can see in photographs after Rasputin's demise at TS, Alexei looks completely healthy.

So personally, I don't agree that his heamophelia was severe, but possibly a less life-threatening disease, but still responsible for his delicate appearence. He may have been suffering from a less harsh blood disorder, and Rasputin was playing on it to gain the Tsarina trust and devotion.

Alexei, as far as I've come to believe from my extensive research, was most likely Heamophelic, but not to the extream Rasputin would have had his mother believe.

Those poor people were used by their relatives, friends and advisors, God rest their souls and I pray for them daily.  Especially the lost Prince and the beautiful Princesses, who were just begining to live.

God Bless.

From what I understand, haemophilics should never be given aspirin.

I thought it quite sweet you pray for the Imperial Family each day, though as Glorified Saints, we Orthodox don't pray for them, as we understand they have inherited the Eternal Kingdom. Now we can ask thefor their prayers and help for us in our lives. You should especially ask the Tsarevich Martyr's prayers and help in getting your book about him published! I'm sure he will help you.

Because aspirin is a blood thinner, and hemopheliac's blood does not clot properly, I wouldn't think aspirin would be a good idea either.

On this photo you can see that it's just some sort of chair, without any safetybelts... (but Alexei could hold on to the sides, like on this photo)

It amazes me how there are so many pictures of Aleksey doing things that could be dangerous for him. Like the ones where he's hanging on the pole, standing on the cannon, and riding on the bikes. If I had been Aleksandra, I wouldn't have allowed him to stand on anything but the floor. Do you think Aleksandra was around while he was doing these things?

You can't exactly keep him from being a child.I think Alexei would have hated his parents if he wasn't allow to play like other kids.
Alexandra, maybe she was and maybe she wasn't.
She had an entire household to look after, including 4 beautiful daughters. As much as she would like, she could not spend every minute with her son.
It would have made her depress to worry over him.

Besides, there were also sailors appointed to guard Alexei, so I think although the bike seat doesn't look that safe, sailor Derevenko who was riding the bike, would be very careful not to make too sharp bends and see to it that Alexei wouldn't make sudden movements.

I think we also need to remember that Aleksey was perfectly capable of sitting up without any support.  There's no need for any straps for a child of age eight, if he has no physical condition that prevents him from sitting up on his own.  He had enough supervision around him while he was on the said bike to keep him safe.

Here is is Anastacia. It is one of my favorites of Alexei.

By looking at it now, it doesn't seem to be the same time. The outfits of the men are different.
