Most people seem to say that OMA had blue eyes; Maria's darker than Olga's or Anastasia's.  Most people in regards to Tatiana say she has gray eyes; maybe they were blue-gray but were more gray-colored.  Anna Vyrubova said that her eyes were dark and seemed black at night.  Buxhoeveden said her eyes were brown; Meriel Buchanan who didn't know T so well said Tatiana's were amber.

Maybe hazel?  My boyfriend has hazel eyes and they look brown sometimes and gray other times, sometimes blueish-gray.

Her favorite perfum was Jasmin;she was the tallest and most 'on shape' of he sisters;Tanya was the closest daughter to Alix,and was also the most fashionable.
She enjoyed playing piano more than painting;She was new as the governess by her sisters...
I think she also had that regal and royal look,more than her sisters did.And Aleksey was her male-version   (check out a pic where Tanya has very short hair and Aleksey is sitted  by her side on a chair)

In regards to your request of reposting the first message in the thread with "up to date statistics", it is my intention to do so at some point.  However, as you can see, there are a number of conflicting pieces of information, and I'm waiting until it all sorts itself out in order to provide the most accurate description.

It would be rather difficult to update it, and then have to update it again, and again...

I always heard it described as a deep auburn or a deep brown with reddish highlights, like her mother. I also read frequently that she had the same blue-grey eyes as her mother and the rest of her siblings, that only Maria inherited her father's pure blue.

Well, I think we can actually tell a lot more from black and white pics than we think we can.  In all the black and white versions I've seen of Tatiana with her mother and sisters, her hair's color is considerably darker than everyone's.  So I'm thinking she had much darker hair than Alix.  The same can be said for eyes.  In many pictures you can tell what shade of blue they probably were.  For example, Olga's eyes in many pics appear to have the lightest gray imparted on them.  Therefore I conclude she had aquamarine eyes since I also know from personal accounts that her eyes were some shade of blue. Etc, etc.

I don't know if we can tell about eye colour from a black and white pic...even from a colour one, since light influences toomuch in colour...I appears in most of my ics with RED eyes.... (GRRRR).

I know the example of a Mexican actor named Ramon Valdez who played "Don Ramón" in a Mexican TV sitcom named "El Chavo del Ocho". All people believed he had green eyes, but it seeems that the dark ambiance of the studies thei were running on (there where the 70's), darkened his eyes. He had BLUE eyes, not green. This could be clearly seen at his latest movies in the 80', all of them run in bright sun. All his family confirmed he had blue eyes...

I think that in a black and white pic, is harder to tell. My nephew Alberto has dark blue eyes and in some colour pics he appears as having brown, black or red eyes...

I know some famous songs from earlier XX Century for I love Vintage music, but the case is that I don't know what kind of Music OTMAA colud love...Anyone?
