The IF were such animal lovers and is one reason why I always liked them so much. So touchiing that they took their pets into exile with them and would not be parted, even in death.

I think we may see more than one dog.  I've found two.  Possibly a third but the shadows makes it impossible to tell.

Good link, nena -- two photos of Olga were new to me:
Olga and her regiment

How attached were the grand duchesses to their horses?

That is good question, I don't know. IMO, they loved horses:

Do you have photos of the other grand duchesses on horses?

Olga's mount is a real beauty.

Is there any information about the Romanov's horses such as the breeding stock, where they were raised, etc. etc. etc. ?

I do remember posting about the Romanov's Horse Cemetery, however, I'd like to learn more about the horses when they were alive :>)

According to Trewin's book, House of Special Purpose, Aleksei's dog Shot accompanied the IF to Tobolsk. Apparently he played the role of a poodle in a one-act farce, "The Crystal Gazer." The photo nena posted on 18 October showing a dog in the fenced yard of the governor's house in Tobolsk also appears in House of Special Purpose.

As for horses, Olga's 1913 diary mentions a few of the IF's mounts by name. For their regimental exercises on 5 August, Olga rode Regent and Tatiana rode Robino.
