Hi Everyone,

FYI - Maria Pavlovna is portrayed by Martita Hunt in the old movie "Song Without End" about Franz Liszt.  Dirk Bogart plays Liszt.
In the movie, there's a funny scene at a concert, where Maria chides Nicholas I about being a 'dull conservative'.....  And, when he's nearly asleep - "Wake up, Nicky, you're missing out on life!"....  Too funny!!!

I`d like to post a few pictures of weimar places connectd with maria pavlovna



the burial place of MP, she lies in the orthodox church of weimar, the church is attached to the burial place of the saxe weimar grand ducal family so she is as if united with her german family. the orthodox church was built on the rusiian soil broughin  from russia, her coffin is also on the russian soil

belvedere palace, the residence of maria pavovna & her husband




the famous garden in belvedere. as maria pavlovna missed her beloved pavlovsk her husband gave her a present the garden that was the exact replica of the gardens in pavlovsk. this is  marvelous place, believe me!
so romantic! breathtaking
