Sissi's sister Queen Maria Sophia of Bourbon Two-Sicilies!I am wondering does anybody has colour portraits of her sisters Princess Helena von Thurn und Taxis or Princess Mathilde of Bourbon Two-Sicilies,Countess de Trani or her brother?

From both of them,if you consider their youth portraits!If you consider later in life I think Sissi's looks was more flattering then her mothers!

I agree Marc, Sissi's looks later on in life is definately more flattering than her mother so I am going to be daring and say she had a lot of her father in her.  Unfortunately I have not come across any color portraits of the siblings

My favorite of the siblings, Sophie Duchess of Alencon. She died during a charity bazaar fire. She could've escaped but stayed to help others escape and her large skirt caught fire and she died.  :( I prefer her looks to Sissi's because she had good features but also a softer look to her that Sissi lacked (beautiful though she was).




And long hair definitely ran in the family!

How did they maintain such massive tresses ? Must have taken forever to dry, in the days before electric hairdryers.

Oh yes...

Sissi got her hair treated once a week.  On that day, she basically did nothing except getting her hair treated.  I read that it took 3 hrs to wash it w/ brandy (the hairdresser had to be careful not to let sissi see the falling hair)!

Definately, hair that long, took forever to dry, personally my hair is so thick that water just bounces right off of it, haha ;D!  It is still amazing to me that Sissi's sisters all look so similar, of course they are sisters but the family
characteristics are so powerful
