Yes...I know that. But I didn't know that Nene was "hot". That's weird for me. Of course, it could be true! I think that I'm a little influenced by bad sugary movies, in which Nene is shown almost as a stupid, without personality (yes..I'm speaking about the "Sissi" trilogy by Marischka...UGH! . These are pretty romantic movies, but totally untrue).

Mathilde and Marie found  "outside" marriage what her husbands couldn't give. Helene turned to religion after her husband and two children's deaths and I think she found some kind of support in this priest, but I find hard to believe she was "hot" like her father who had several illegitimate children. Elisabeth liked to be admired by men, more the type of look but don't touch. As for Sophie, it seems her marriage was not happy but I don't know much about the character of her husband but maybe he was too boring  and serious for her??

That's the point. Franz Joseph, Sophie, Ludovica, etc. - they all talked about "Sisi" in their letters.

so then i guess that the discusion about wether her nickname was lisi or sisi is a bit pointless if the letters of her relative says its sisi...and its not from the movie

I think it all sprawn from a mistake, but adopted the nickname afterwards. It wasactually quite original "Sisi" than the more common "Lizzy".

Sissi just had platonic loves like Andrassy or Bay Middleton, but really no more, in fact she disliked sex and was
frigid.
 About Helene it could be an unknown side of her character, it's true that sometimes we imagine them as other way
but I think that it can be possible.

I think he was happy with both of them. Sophie died young and Karl was 7 years a widower, before he married Marie.

Was a real pity that Karl Theodor lost his first wife, but happily he could be happy with Marie.
