But I don't think Aleksei's toy car is the one in this photo. As you can see in the full version, this car is large enough to hold an adult and a teenager. I can't find the photo of Aleksei's little car right now, but it seems to me it was much smaller.

Thank you for the picture Sarushka. I thought it was Alexei's car but maybe not. Does anyone know if OTMA owned their own cars? Or even what cars they used when they went out?

I do not think the girls owned cars I never seen any photos of them driving in a car maybe going in one while someone is driving it sometimes a guard would be driving it. It would be interesting if I saw photos of them driving cars.

High society ladies DOES have cars. And they drove, for sure. Only in lower classes of society it was not allowed to girls to do such things as drive. But high society girls could drive and smoke, for instance. The first women who drove cars in Argentina as far as 1900 . These times, cars were little more than carriages with engines into them  -were high society ones.

In Russia and other countries this was pretty common too. I don't know how to put photos here, but I have a pic of Grand Duchess Olga Nichoaleivna driving a car. Alexei were beside her.
